A turbocharged 2.3-liter four-cylinder engine powers the Tremor and most other trims. This powertrain delivers 311 pound-feet of torque and 300 horsepower. With the Platinum and Tremor trims, you could upgrade to the turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 powertrain. This system produces 415 pound-feet of torque and 400 horsepower. The ST trim level is exclusively available with the V6 engine. A 10-speed auto transmission is standard across the board.
Appearance
The 2026 Explorer Tremor brings functional improvements to the exterior, including all-terrain tires and special wheels. On the inside, this trim level stands out with orange stitching on the steering wheel and dashboard. The Ford Explorer has a dominating presence on the road with a round nose and a long, lean profile. The LED headlights flank the almost-rectangular grille, giving the front end an edgy look. Over the sides, the Ford Explorer expresses forward momentum through its sweeping, rigorously sculpted sides. Exterior features offered with some or all 2026 trim levels include fog lights, heated side mirrors, and a power liftgate.
Features
Select the Ford Explorer’s base trim level. Your new SUV will have forward collision mitigation, intersection collision mitigation, lane centering, heated front seats, a Google-based navigation system, a six-speaker audio system, and wireless connections for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
