Serving Hudson WI

For truck shoppers who hold high expectations for comfort, style, and power in a pickup, the Ford F-150 and the RAM 1500 deserve a closer look. These popular models are both full-size trucks that are midway through their current generations. What should you know about these 2026 models before purchasing your next truck?

Performance

The 2026 Ford F-150 gives you six powertrain options. The first of these engines is a 2.7-liter turbocharged V6, producing 325 horsepower. The most potent engine is offered in the Raptor R trim level, featuring a 720-horsepower, supercharged 5.2-liter V8 system. The F-150 is also available with a PowerBoost V6, 3.5-liter turbo-hybrid engine that produces 430 horsepower.

The 2026 RAM 1500 offers four options. The 305-horsepower, 3.6-liter V6 engine powers these models. The most powerful system provided with the RAM 1500 this year is a 540-horsepower, turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six engine.

Appearance

It’s easy to differentiate the F-150 from the RAM 1500 on the road. The F-150 has a commanding look with a tall, modern front-end design and broad dimensions. The chrome-accented grille extends across most of the nose’s surface. It is capped on the sides by innovative headlights. An amber accent light highlights these LED headlights.

The RAM 1500, on the other hand, features a steeper hood line. This hood is powerfully sculpted. The grille is thinner than that of the F-150, and it is accompanied by rectangular LED headlights mounted horizontally. Both models are offered with several cab styles and bed lengths.

Features

Depending on the 2026 F-150 trim level you select, your new truck could be equipped with features like a Bang & Olufsen sound system, leather upholstery, heated seats in both rows, BlueCruise hands-free driving assistance, a 12-inch infotainment system display screen, a two-panel moonroof, a head-up display, and many additional features.

The RAM 1500’s standard features include vinyl upholstery, adaptive cruise control, an 8.4-inch touchscreen display, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, lane-keeping assistance, a blind-spot detection system, and several other features.
