2025 Ford Ranger vs 2025 Ford F-150
Serving Hudson, WI
The Ford truck lineup offers a variety of powerful models, including the Ranger and F-150. The midsize Ranger is the smallest truck available in the 2025 lineup, and it leaves no room for disappointment with its strong design and modern features. The F-150 is a full-size truck that offers more space, power, and features than the Ranger. After comparing the possibilities in greater detail, you can better decide which model is a strong match for your expectations and needs.
Performance
The Ranger’s base engine is a turbocharged 2.3-liter four-cylinder that produces 270 horsepower. Select trims are also available with a turbocharged 2.7-liter V6 engine that produces 315 horsepower. If you choose the top-of-the-line Raptor, your Ranger will draw 405 horsepower from a turbocharged 3.0-liter V6.
The F-150 has six available powertrains. These include a 400-horsepower, turbo 2.7-liter, V6 engine and a 400-horsepower, 5.0-liter, V8 unit. A hybrid turbocharged 3.5-liter V6 system with an electric motor delivers 430 horsepower. The Raptor is exclusively available with a turbocharged 3.5-liter V6 engine that produces 450 horsepower. The Raptor R’s engine is a supercharged 5.2-liter V8 unit that generates 720 horsepower.
Appearance
The 2025 Ford Ranger exudes confidence from every angle. It shows off a flat hood with intentionally chiseled side doors. Thin molding lines the fenders and expands over the bumpers and grille. The grille covers most of the front end, and it is styled with a combination of linear elements and a mesh pattern. The C-shaped LED headlights frame the grille.
The 2025 Ford F-150 has a comparable shape with larger dimensions. The sides stand out with defined flares over the wheel wells and a thick accent line running below the belt. The rectangular grille dominates the front end, capped on the sides by large rectangular LED headlights. These headlights are lined on two sides by an LED ribbon.
Features
The Ranger is available with a full selection of desired features. These include a 12-inch touchscreen, a heated steering wheel, a 360-degree camera system, a Bang & Olufsen sound system, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, leather upholstery, heated seats in both rows, automated parking, and more.
The F-150 comes with most of these features, as well as a wireless phone charger, household-style plugs, a work console, massaging front seats, a head-up display, and a few others.
